The more I discover...the more FRIGHTENED I become!

As we all know, Obama's Reverend has made some outrageous, and frankly, treasonous statements over the years...but check out where his "inspiration" comes from:

James Cone, the most prominent theologian in the "black liberation" school, teaches that Jesus Christ himself is black. As he explains:

Christ is black therefore not because of some cultural or psychological need of black people, but because and only because Christ really enters into our world where the poor were despised and the black are, disclosing that he is with them enduring humiliation and pain and transforming oppressed slaves into liberating servants.

Hmm...one could argue that this "black liberation theology" is very similar to the radical islamic fundamentalist teaching, no? THIS should be enough to SCARE ANYONE from voting for Obama!

But here's the MOST evil belief of this "black liberation theology":

Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community ... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love. [1]

In addition, THIS is what the Rev and his "black liberation theologians" preach:

In the New Testament, Jesus is not for all, but for the oppressed, the poor and unwanted of society, and against oppressors ... Either God is for black people in their fight for liberation and against the white oppressors, or he is not [Cone].

Jesus is not for all? How does ANYONE read the Bible and get to that conclusion? Oh wait...this is an example of someone reading the Bible, taking out what they "need" to assert their positions, ideals, beliefs, etc., while leaving behind "the rest of the story!"

This kind of nasty vitriol should not be tolerated by anyone today...and certainly if this was coming from a member of the KKK and it was John McCain in Obama's shoes....he would be forced to immediately end his presidential campaign AND immediately resign from his Senate seat. BUT...of course, since Obama is 1) a Democrat 2) a half black man 3) most importantly, a RAGING LOONEY LIBERAL...he will be given a free pass and the main stream media (MSM) will hail him as a courageous and moving leader, completely ignoring that for over 20 years his been exposed to and condoned this sort of hate filled rhetoric and anger!

"Did you know I am black?"

So Obama just finished his "historic" speech on racial issues in the current presidential race and throughout America. I watched the entire thing...despite my great dislike for the man; I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt and open my mind to the possibility that perhaps he can be inspirational.

Instead, I find myself furious, agitated and annoyed. There was so much wrong with his speech it’s difficult to know where to begin. Sure, he denounced Rev. Wright, but then he explained for all us stupid white people, that the "rev" feels the way he does because he's held on to resentment for the "crimes" committed in the past against the black man and woman.

This man is NOT a uniter...he is going to do more to divide this nation than any president in the past 40 years.

It’s so hard to pick out where to start....there are so many different remarks that were just outrageous...and of course, we know the MSM will just give him a pass and praise this "lovely and moving" speech!

But...let's start with this one...

"The document they produced was eventually signed but ultimately unfinished. It was stained by this nation’s original sin of slavery, a question that divided the colonies and brought the convention to a stalemate until the founders chose to allow the slave trade to continue for at least twenty more years, and to leave any final resolution to future generations."

Yet...he fails to mention that:

• slavery was not limited to our nation, in fact it was the NORM for the world at the time
• similar discrimination, although slavery, continued for generations with other ethnic groups. The Irish were treated as "less than human" and were forced to become house maids, caretakers and nannies of the "rich white man." They were not allowed in to various places of business and restaurants and employment signs such as ""No Irish need apply" " were very common. Likewise, Italian immigrants when they came to the US and of course, American Indians and today we see it with the Hispanics...all who have come here have had to face similar discrimination and hideous struggles.
• I have heard MANY black friends (those who preach personal responsibility and accountability, rather than looking to blame the past for their life situations) tell me, they are "grateful" that their ancestors were brought out of Africa...as conditions in Africa STILL haven't changed for the black man/woman living there today!
• And typically, he forgot to mention ANY gratitude for the hundreds of thousands of DEAD WHITE men who fought against slavery on behalf of the black man during the US Civil War!

But let's continue...

"I am married to a black American who carries within her the blood of slaves and slaveowners – an inheritance we pass on to our two precious daughters."

Meaning Obama and his wife, who has already been caught speaking hate, will continue to teach their daughters the same..."our ancestors were once slaves, so you must carry on the HATE and blame of the white man forever!"

And then he gets to the Rev...

"But the truth is, that isn’t all that I know of the man. The man I met more than twenty years ago is a man who helped introduce me to my Christian faith, a man who spoke to me about our obligations to love one another; to care for the sick and lift up the poor. He is a man who served his country as a U.S. Marine; who has studied and lectured at some of the finest universities and seminaries in the country, and who for over thirty years led a church that serves the community by doing God’s work here on Earth – by housing the homeless, ministering to the needy, providing day care services and scholarships and prison ministries, and reaching out to those suffering from HIV/AIDS."

Sure...love one another if they are BLACK and you are too...but if you are a white man...the rev. calls you evil and worthless and not worthy, nor capable of love. So...what he means is "love your BLACK neighbor...care for your sick BLACK neighbor...lift up the poor BLACK man...minister to the needy BLACK...etc., etc.

How do I come to this conclusion you may ask? Well...just listen to some of the hate filled, angry tirades that the rev. has given...not once, but numerous times(see posts below) in his BLACK CHURCH!

"Those stories – of survival, and freedom, and hope – became our story, my story; the blood that had spilled was our blood, the tears our tears; until this black church, on this bright day, seemed once more a vessel carrying the story of a people into future generations and into a larger world."

Again, why does he have to go to a "black" church? Why can't he simply GO TO CHURCH? I know when I attend Church, I look around and see Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Vietnamese, Pilipino and so many others...we are NOT limited to ONE group of people or ONE race...ALL are welcome and ALL attend!

In addition he later states that...

"And occasionally it finds voice in the church on Sunday morning, in the pulpit and in the pews. The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright’s sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning."

Now I don't know about you...but I have NEVER been at Mass on Sunday where the priest yelled out in anger against ANY race, individual or America! I have not EVER heard a Catholic priest incite violence or call the "white man" or any other member of ANY race EVIL! In fact, sometimes I wish the priests would get a little angry in their homilies...speak up about the immoral and evil atrocity of abortion...but instead they preach how we are to accept and offer forgiveness to those who have experienced the horrors of abortion. And as I pointed out above...I look around and see those of MANY colors attending Mass, listening to the WORD of God and holding it sacred...NOT applauding the word of some angry bigoted preacher!

Then he dares to go on to blame not only the "white man" for perpetuating racial discrimination but worse...

Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends. Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism."

He doesn't have the faintest clue as to what he's talking about! Reagan was the least racist President EVER to take office...he had NO fear of skin color...only COMMUNIST ATHEISM! Which he boldly faced and defeated! If anyone knows anything about Reagan, the last thing one could ever call him is a racist...he was working with and seeing past skin color long before it became a "cause!"

As for Conservative commentators...I see...because they believe that affirmative action forces one to recognize skin color instead of qualifications, skills, education, knowledge and experience, they are somehow preaching "hate and intolerance" for others...sigh....

He continues...

"...a corporate culture rife with inside dealing, questionable accounting practices, and short-term greed; a Washington dominated by lobbyists and special interests;"

Hmm...does he include HIMSELF in this statement? As we are all still wondering about his full connections to Tony Rezko!!

Get's better though...

"I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe."

Talk about throwing someone under the bus...this is the woman who raised him and here he basically calls her a racist and he "CRINGED" at the things she would say...hmm...so was it the great rev. who taught him to "see" the world differently than the RACIST grandmother who raised him?

When will this end? Why do they (blacks) get to hold "resentment" when civil rights have been afforded to ALL for over 4o years!??! When will they STOP living in the past and START looking towards the future? When will they STOP blaming and START accepting RESPONSIBILITY??!!

Of course, the whole speech wasn't just about race...he had to throw in digs at business as well...

'This time we want to talk about the fact that the real problem is not that someone who doesn’t look like you might take your job; it’s that the corporation you work for will ship it overseas for nothing more than a profit."

Umm...Obama...why do you think businesses GO INTO BUSINESS?? And what do you think happens when businesses CAN'T MAKE A PROFIT?

Here...let me tell you...businesses go into business for the sake OF PROFIT! In addition, when they are unable to make a PROFIT...they generally go OUT OF BUSINESS!!

Who ever heard of a POOR business employing ANYONE?? This was nothing but a SCARE TACTIC...typical liberal mantra..."you poor American's are too stupid...you NEED government to CARE for you by providing you with a job, an education, a home, healthcare BENEFITS, etc., etc., etc."

And of course, Obama closes with his sad story about the young "white" girl...who endured eating mustard and relish sandwiches because her mother had no healthcare...GIVE ME A BREAK!

Frankly, this entire speech did nothing more than scare me! I believe if this man is elected he will be the most dangerous we have ever had in the White House...and not because he's black...but because he's a coward who hides behind his color! He has yet to offer any substantial solutions to our nation’s problems...other than of course "more government involvement!"

I could have torn apart each section of his speech and had a response to or question to pose to Obama throughout, but it would have taken up several pages on this blog!!

He has no plans and still has NO understanding of WHY we went to war in Iraq or why we need to win there! He has less understanding of the danger Iran poses...oh wait, I forgot, his plan is to to sit and have tea with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. (**rolling eyes!)

He's also the man who stated that he would consider using "nukes" on Pakistan to find Osama Bin Laden.

He's wrong headed, misguided and inexperienced and his speech today just proved that to me, more than any other I have heard him give! This speech today was insulting and did nothing more than to once again, perpetuate RACIAL tension amongst all of America!

I hope and pray this is only the beginning of the fall of Barack Hussein Obama!

Despite mountains of scholarly research, enough books to fill a library shelf and decades of political battles about gun control, the Supreme Court will have an opportunity this week that is almost unique for a modern court when it examines whether the District's handgun ban violates the Second Amendment.

The nine justices, none of whom has ever ruled directly on the amendment's meaning, will consider a part of the Bill of Rights that has existed without a definitive interpretation for more than 200 years.

The Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

From the English Bill of Rights in 1689:
That the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions and as allowed by law;

Let's further compare the English Bill of Rights to our own Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America.

The English Bill of Rights and the US Constitution, are virtually identical. The EBR has clearly stated that the people, "may have arms for their defence". Here is the context of that phrase from the EBR:

Declaration:
"a certain declaration in writing made by the said Lords and Commons in the words following, viz.:"

"By causing several good subjects being Protestants to be disarmed at the same time when papists were both armed and employed contrary to law;"

That:

"the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions and as allowed by law"

So, with the Amendments to the US Constitution(US Bill of Rights), being almost identical to the English Bill of Rights, one could conclude that the intent of the Second Amendment is to, in fact, award citizens the right to privately bear arms. Not to mention that, since 1791, average ordinary citizens of the US, have in fact, bore arms, privatley! The precident has long been set.

After seizing Archbishop Raho on February 29, in a bloody assault in which three of the prelate's companions were killed, the kidnappers informed authorities on March 13 that they had left the archbishop's body in a shallow grave outside Mosul.

How can a mother can murder her own in such a incideous and horrific manner? And why do we continue to openly "accept" this as "normal" behavior? Why are doctors who commit such heinous acts hailed as heroes? How can we dare question "torture" methods, such as water boarding, used on enemy insurgents when we continue to allow this ultimate evil?

Royal college warns abortions can lead to mental illness

Women may be at risk of mental health breakdowns if they have abortions, a medical royal college has warned. The Royal College of Psychiatrists says women should not be allowed to have an abortion until they are counselled on the possible risk to their mental health.

This overturns the consensus that has stood for decades that the risk to mental health of continuing with an unwanted pregnancy outweighs the risks of living with the possible regrets of having an abortion.


MPs will shortly vote on a proposal to reduce the upper time limit for abortions “for social reasons” from 24 weeks to 20 weeks, a move not backed by the government. A Sunday Times poll today shows 59% of women would support such a reduction, with only 28% backing the status quo. Taken together, just under half (48%) of men and women want a reduction to 20 weeks, while 35% want to retain 24 weeks.


More than 90% of the 200,000 terminations in Britain every year are believed to be carried out because doctors believe that continuing with the pregnancy would cause greater mental strain.


The controversy intensified earlier this year when an inquest in Cornwall heard that a talented artist hanged herself because she was overcome with grief after aborting her twins. Emma Beck, 30, left a note saying: “Living is hell for me. I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum. I want to be with my babies; they need me, no one else does.”


Conservatives have been saying this for years, but you didn't listen. We have been telling you that abortion is bad for, not only the murdered babies, but for women too, but you didn't listen. In the US, 40 million lives have been ended, how many more women have to die before the Liberals wake up? Maybe after their daughter hangs herself. Sleeping Student Awakened By Teacher Sues

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury officials have been notified they are being sued by a student who was awakened in class by a teacher who made a loud noise.

Documents filed with the Town Clerk, a prelude to a lawsuit, claim that a sleeping student suffered hearing damage when his teacher woke him up by slamming her hand down on the boy's desk in December.

Attorney Alan Barry said Vinicios Robacher, 15, suffered pain and "very severe injuries to his left eardrum" when teacher Melissa Nadeau abruptly slammed the palm of her hand on his desk on Dec. 4.

THIS, is a frivilous lawsuit, for those who 1) Do not know what one is and 2) Deny the existance of them. (Liberals) This teacher should be given an award and the boy should be issued a detention. He should be made to clean the toilets in his school. His lawyer should help him.

So Obama, tell us...if you don't agree with Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.,

Why did you join his church? Rev. Wright is the pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and has recently stated that instead of singing "God bless America"...we should all instead sing "God damn America!" In addition, his "church" claims "We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization."

In addtion this "reverand" claims "America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. . . . We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers . . . We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi . . . We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God."

We could go on and on with the outrageous and slanderous attacks against America this man speals from his pulpit...all in the name of "Christianity". But, more importantly is this question...which surprise!! No one in the MSM is asking...OBAMA, why did you join this man's church? And if he is your current "spiritual" counselor...what is it that he says or "faithfully" expounds that you follow, believe to be true and AGREE with?

This insane man's comments are ridiculous at best and all should be outraged. Certainly if this type of vitriol came from someone on the right or if some white individual on the left of Jewish or Christian faith was to make such hateful comments they would be taken to task and immediately fired...i.e, Geradine Ferraro.

I wonder if it was the Rev who taught Michelle Obama her "love" for our nation?

Severed Fingers of Kidnapped Westerners Sent to U.S. Officials

A senior U.S. official confirmed to FOX News that the severed fingers of five Western hostages were delivered to U.S. government officials in Iraq, giving the men's relatives hope that they are still alive.

The Austrian weekly magazine News first reported the delivery of the five fingers in Wednesday's edition, citing unidentified authorities working on the case.

One of the kidnap victims in Iraq was a University of Florida student. The hostages have been missing for more than a year and U.S. authorities in Baghdad recently were sent their severed fingers.

Four of the men had been working as contractors when they were captured in a brazen ambush of their 43-truck supply convoy on Nov. 16, 2006.

The men were working for Crescent Security Group, a Kuwait-based private security company. They were kidnapped by men in Iraqi police uniforms who ambushed the convoy they were escorting near the southern city of Safwan.

Patrick Reuben, a Minneapolis police officer whose twin brother, Paul Reuben, is among the missing, said late Wednesday the FBI told his family that "the fingers were confirmed to be those of the hostages."

Did you hear about this on the TV??? Didn't think so.

Britons hit by new 'sin taxes'

Many Britons were resigning themselves to more puritanical lifestyles Thursday as they faced the prospect of "sin taxes" that will increase the cost of alcohol, cigarettes, gas-guzzling cars and, potentially, plastic bags.

"Don't Drink or Drive" trumpeted the Sun newspaper after Treasury chief Alistair Darling unveiled the measures on Wednesday in the government's annual spending plan.

The Labour Party government is hoping that hiking taxes on booze will help curb Britain's binge-drinking culture.

But breakfast talk radio was abuzz with callers lamenting the potential death of Britain's pub scene, with the tax hike coming less than a year after the government imposed a smoking ban in all public buildings.

"They put more on alcohol because they think there's going to be binge-drinking, but it won't stop. It just stops people going in pubs," said Sarah Thomas, 33, a teacher trainer smoking a rolled tobacco cigarette outside The Goose pub in central London.

From this weekend, alcohol duties will rise by 6 percent above inflation — meaning an extra 8 cents for a pint of beer, which already costs about $6 in an average London pub.

They will go up around 26 cents for a bottle of wine and a whopping $1.10 a bottle for spirits such as whisky.

The duties will then rise by another 2 percent above inflation in each of the next four years, reversing a trend in previous budgets to keep increases low for most alcohol products. Duties on spirits were frozen for the past 10 years to boost British spirit makers' competitiveness, accounting for the large jump this year.

A packet of cigarettes, already a steep $11.20, will rise by 22 cents.

The first budget under Prime Minister Gordon Brown also planned to reward ecologically minded voters by imposing higher taxes on heavier polluting cars from 2010.

The increases — to be charged at the point of sale and in higher road taxes — mean that many family cars, along with gas-guzzling vehicles and sports cars will come with larger price tags and be more expensive to drive.

George Osborne, the opposition Conservative Party spokesman said the plans would unfairly target hardworking families who need large vehicles like SUVs.

"Labour's economic incompetence means a rising cost of living for the very people they said they would help," said Osborne.

The government will also begin imposing a charge on single-use plastic bags next year — a measure already in place in Ireland — if supermarkets and other stores don't make "sufficient progress" to voluntarily reduce their use by the end of this year.

The government said money raised by a plastic bag levy would go to environmental charities, while that from alcohol and cigarette taxes would help fund a $2 billion package to tackle child poverty.

But Steve Thompson, 39, an air conditioning engineer enjoying a lunch break with a cigarette and a half-pint of beer outside the Melton Mowbray pub in central London, wasn't buying the government's social plan.

"They know that people who are addicted can't quit smoking but they still tax it and get their revenue for it," said Thompson. "They're crooks. They waste taxpayers' money terribly."

Rob Hayward, chief executive of the British Beer & Pub Association, said the government was "shooting itself in the foot" because it would lose revenue if pubs are forced to close.

"The government is punishing all beer drinkers rather than tackling the minority of drunken hooligans," Hayward said.

The Wine and Spirit Trade Association said that as British costs rises faster than in continental Europe, more people will simply go abroad for the cheaper prices, particularly on wine. The new charges will tax wine at nearly $3 a bottle — the highest in the European Union and well above the 4 cents charged in France.

With Britons already facing rising prices for food and other basic amid the gloom caused by the global credit crunch, the Wine and Spirit Trade Association said the new taxes were a form of punishment.

"It is bizarre at a time when the economy is slowing, prices are rising and many families are feeling the pinch, that the government should choose to add to their burden by making the simple pleasure of a glass of wine or spirits considerably more expensive," said the association's chief executive Jeremy Beadles.

A direct result of socialism. All of this is already or will happen in the US, by the hands of the Democrats. This is forced charity by a government on it's people. Politicians create this type of thing, NOT ythe average person! This must not be tolerated any more in the US! They must never gain a foothold! NEVER!

March 13, 2008 -- The woman for whom Gov. Spitzer tossed away his political career, reputation and, perhaps, his family finally has a face.
Ashley Alexandra Dupre, a 22-year-old aspiring singer from the Jersey Shore, is the high-priced hooker at the heart of the sordid, sex-filled drama. Her name was revealed on the same day Spitzer resigned from office.

Until now, she has been publicly known only as "Kristen" - a woman the love gov ordered from the skin peddlers at Emperors Club VIP for a tryst at a Washington hotel on Feb.13.

But a relative said Dupre - born Ashley Youmans and raised in Belmar, NJ - and Kristen are one and the same.

"I love her. I am by her side. I found out from her," her brother, Kyle Youmans, told The Post. "The family is supporting her. She is fine."

He referred all other questions to his sister's lawyer, Don Buchwald, who would not confirm his client's involvement in the scandal.

Dupre earlier told The New York Times - which said she has been subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury - that the stress of being at the heart of the scandal was wearing on her.

"I just don't want to be thought of as a monster," she said. "This has been a very difficult time. It is complicated."

Her mother, Carolyn Capalbo, told the paper she didn't think her daughter knew who Spitzer was when they hooked up.

"She is a very bright girl who can handle someone like the governor," Capalbo said. "But she also is a 22-year-old, not a 32-year-old or a 42-year-old, and she obviously got involved in something much larger than her."

The details of Spitzer's alleged dalliance with Dupre emerged amid a federal probe into the international escort ring. The governor was caught on a wiretap arranging for "Kristen" - a 5-foot-5, 105-pound brunette - to travel to the Mayflower Hotel in DC.

How Dupre fell into the world of high-end prostitution is not entirely clear, but friends from Wall HS in Belmar, NJ, said she had always had a thing for older men.

"She never dated anyone in our school," said a woman who would only gave her first name, Stephanie.

This 22-year-old, who was a year behind Dupre, said, "She was never slutty. She would date older guys, but it wasn't like she was running around sleeping with everyone."

Dupre hints on her MySpace page that she had a difficult life.

"My path has not been easy. When I was 17, I left home," she wrote. "It was my decision and I've never looked back. Left my hometown. Left a broken family. Left abuse. Left and learned what it was like to have everything, and lose it, again and again.

"Learned what it was like to wake up one day and have the people you care about most gone . . . I have abused drugs. I have been broke and homeless. But, I survived, on my own."

Another relative told The Post, "She's a very sweet girl . . . She's always been very good to me and my children."

Dupre said she had recently ended a tumultuous relationship with a man who "walked out me" after she discovered he had fathered two children, the Times reported.

In August, she posted on her blog a message about difficult relationships.

"If you are in a relationship, and it is 'doing absolutly [sic] nothing' for you, makes you feel bad about yourself or situations, just causing unessesary [sic] drama, and ruining things that you may actually care about . . . Why would you want that in your life??" she wrote.

According to records, Dupre changed her name from Youmans to Ashley Rae Maike DiPietro, taking her stepfather's surname.

Since she moved to New York in 2004, she adopted the name Ashley Alexandra Dupre as a nom-de-stage for a music career.

On her MySpace page she has posted a single song, called "What We Want" - an amateurish R&B number about love in which she asks, "Can you handle me, boy?"

"I know what you want, you got what I want," she sings in the chorus. "I know what you need. Can you handle me?"

It remains a Jerry Springer world out there, sadly. A disgraced Governor and a nobody hooker. The Governor loses and the skank gets famous, and probably a record contract, because she "likes to sing". She may very well be rewarded for breaking the law. The sad part is, is that she, and I do not hesitate to say it, is glorified in the media now, whether they admit to doing so or not. Both the skank and the John, both belong in jail, like any other less affluent streetwalkers and johns. Children will hear this and become desensitized to the whole concept of prostitution, and the media just runs with it, plasters the skanks photo all over the place, and makes a circus out of it. The Democratic governor may get a pass because he said the he "was sorry", and, well, he's a Democrat! Her pass will come in the form of sympathy for her "troubled" past. Or that she is a woman who is struggling in a male dominated world, and did what she had to do. (NOW's position)

Syphilis rate up for 7th year in row

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. syphilis rate rose for the seventh straight year in 2007, driven by a continued surge in cases among homosexual and bisexual men, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Wednesday.

Since 2000, when the national syphilis rate sank to a low of 2.1 per 100,000 people after a decade of progress in the 1990s, the rate has soared by 76 percent, the CDC reported.

Homosexual and bisexual men accounted for 64 percent of syphilis cases in 2007, up from about 5 percent in 1999.

CDC officials expressed concern not only because the recent increases in this bacterial sexually transmitted disease follows years of declines, but also because syphilis can elevate a person's risk of being infected with the AIDS virus and the odds of giving it to someone else.

They also called rises among women and blacks troubling.

The overall national rate of syphilis rose by 12 percent in 2007 from 2006, reaching 3.7 cases per 100,000 people, based on preliminary CDC data released at a meeting in Chicago.

The rate for men was 6.4 per 100,000, a 14 percent rise from 2006.

The number of syphilis cases nationwide jumped to 11,181 in 2007 from 9,756 in 2006, with men accounting for six times as many cases as women. Rates for men and women had been roughly equivalent a decade ago.

Syphilis hit the black community very hard, with rates six times higher for men and 13 times higher for women than among whites, the CDC said. The rate for black men, 21.5 cases per 100,000, has risen 99 percent since 2003.

Syphilis rates have been surging in homosexual and bisexual men in the past decade, particularly among those who are highly sexually active with multiple sex partners.

RISKY BEHAVIOR

"Having multiple sex partners and other high-risk behaviors like not using condoms do put you at higher risk for HIV and syphilis," CDC epidemiologist Dr. Hillard Weinstock said in a telephone interview.

"Syphilis can increase the likelihood of HIV transmission two to fivefold. And CDC recommends that sexually active men who have sex with men get tested for syphilis, HIV and other STDs at least annually," Weinstock added.

"It is imperative that we make STD screening and treatment a central part of the medical care for gay and bisexual men," while also finding ways to avoid these infections including HIV in the first place, said Dr. Kevin Fenton, who heads the CDC's STD, AIDS, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis prevention effort.

Weinstock said despite the increases of this decade, syphilis rates remain lower than in the past.

After reaching 50,000 cases and a rate of 20.3 cases per 100,000 people in 1990 -- the highest rate since 1949 -- public health efforts helped drive down the rate to 2.1 per 100,000 people in 2000.

"We are concerned that the increases that we're seeing now could continue," Weinstock said.

Syphilis is passed person-to-person through direct contact with a syphilis sore. Transmission of the organism occurs during vaginal, anal or oral sex. Pregnant women with syphilis can pass it to their babies.

Note the part in bold above. This must be the way to protest the Bush administration's policy of abstinence. Go against what you know, and deliberately seek out an STD. Keeping in mind that 54-70% of gays have a college degree. As has always been known, this is a behavioral issue, not an economic or educational one in the US. The question is: When are we going to acknowledge it as such?

Are Iraqi Insurgents Emboldened by Antiwar Reporting?
Economists say their study, with caveats, finds some linkages

Are insurgents in Iraq emboldened by voices in the news media expressing dissent or calling for troop withdrawals from Iraq? The short answer, according to a pair of Harvard economists, is yes.

In a paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research, the authors are quick to point out numerous caveats to their findings, based on data from mid-2003 through late 2007.

Yet, their results show that insurgent groups are not devoid of reason and unresponsive to outside pressures and stimuli. "It shows that the various insurgent groups do respond to incentives and shows that a successful counter insurgency strategy should take that reality into account," says one of the paper's coauthors, Jonathan Monten, a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

The paper "Is There an 'Emboldenment' Effect in Iraq? Evidence From the Insurgency in Iraq" concludes the following:

In the short term, there is a small but measurable cost to open public debate in the form of higher attacks against Iraqi and American targets.
In periods immediately after a spike in "antiresolve" statements in the American media, the level of insurgent attacks increases between 7 and 10 percent.
Insurgent organizations are strategic actors, meaning that whatever their motivations, religious or ideological, they will respond to incentives and disincentives.
But before partisans go wild on both sides of the aisle, here are just three of the important caveats to this study:

The city of Baghdad, for a variety of reasons, was excluded from the report. The authors contend that looking at the outside provinces, where 65 percent of insurgent attacks take place, is a better way to understand the effect they have discovered. Other population centers like Mosul, Basra, Kirkuk, and Najaf were included in the study.
The study does not take into account overall cost and benefit of public debate. Past research has shown that public debate has a positive effect on military strategy, for example, and, in the case of Iraq, might be a factor in forcing the Iraqi government to more quickly accept responsibility for internal security.
It was not possible, from the data available, to determine whether insurgent groups increased the overall number of attacks against American and Iraqi targets in the wake of public dissent and debate or simply changed the timing of those attacks. This means that insurgents may not be increasing the number of attacks after all but simply changing the days on which they attack in response to media reports.

Well maybe now that some eggheads from Harvard has acknowledged it what we have known for decades, then maybe the commie press in the US will take note. But then again, the liberal press in the US really doesn't care, now do they? Ummmmm No.

Free College Tuition for Juvenile Offenders?

State lawmakers are considering a bill that would grant free college tuition for some juvenile offenders. Supporters say it's a way to encourage troubled youth to get their lives back on track. John Dixon, Deputy Secretary for the MD Department of Juvenile Services says, "The kids the department serves face a lot of obstacles and challenges when they return to the community. This bill will allow kids who are interested in attending public institution to go there tuition free."

Delegate Norm Conway is sponsoring the bill. As an educator for 39 years, he says it's important to help troubled teens make a positive transition. "They're out of their own families in many instances. You're hoping for the best possible transition and incentives that say hey if you're willing to do your part there are some opportunities out there for you."

Under the proposal, committed juveniles under the age of 21 would be eligible for free tuition at any public institution in the state. If the measure is approved, about 450 kids who are in group homes, youth centers, and residential treatment homes would be eligible for the program each year.

Critics argue taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for the mistakes of juvenile offenders. But supporters say it could cost taxpayers more in the long run if something isn't done now. Dixon says, "Without having opportunities for these kids such as this, we'll be paying for a career in the adult criminal justice system. And this is very small in comparison to give these kids an opportunity to learn some skills and become a productive member of the job market."

'Magic is over' for the U.S., says foreign minister of France

PARIS: Bernard Kouchner, the foreign minister of France and a longtime humanitarian, diplomatic and political activist on the international scene, says that whoever succeeds President George W. Bush may restore something of the United States' battered image and standing overseas, but that "the magic is over."

In a wide-ranging conversation with Roger Cohen of the International Herald Tribune at the launch of a Forum for New Diplomacy in Paris, Kouchner on Tuesday also held out the hope of talking with Hamas, the Palestinian faction that rules the Gaza Strip but has been ostracized by the West and by its Palestinian rival, Fatah, because it opposes peace talks with Israel and denies that Israel has a right to exist.

Asked whether the United States could repair the damage it has suffered to its reputation during the Bush presidency and especially since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, Kouchner replied, "It will never be as it was before."

"I think the magic is over," he continued, in what amounted to a sober assessment from one of the strongest supporters in France of the United States.

U.S. military supremacy endures, Kouchner noted, and the new president "will decide what to do - there are many means to re-establish the image." But even that, he predicted, "will take time."

Kouchner began the 90-minute event with a speech that emphasized that "there is not just a new diplomacy; there is a new world."

To those intimidated by or fearful of what seem to be the rising challenges of globalization, climate change, spreading disease or new technology, Kouchner had a simple message: "The great difficulty is to accept this new world."

"There are not more problems - please, have a little memory - than 35 years ago," he said, recalling how, in 1971, he co-founded Médecins Sans Frontières in response to the horrors of the conflict in Nigeria over Biafra.

The challenges may be daunting, he said, noting for instance that the world had decided to act to curb the AIDS epidemic, but asking, "Can we take charge of all the other diseases? I'm not sure."

Some of the most persistent diplomatic challenges emanate from the Middle East, and Kouchner was asked about approaches to Iran, whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has called for the destruction of Israel, or to Hamas, which has the same stated goal.

Kouchner and other European diplomats have tried to talk Iran out of its controversial nuclear program, but officially rejected all contacts with Hamas, which is listed as a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union. Asked whether there is a way to engage Hamas, which is supported by a significant minority of Palestinians, Kouchner appeared to hold out hope of contact, saying: "I'm looking for a diplomatic way to say yes."
He then carefully couched this statement by noting that, in general, "we have to talk with our enemies," and that Fatah, which controls the West Bank, "always said they were in favor" of unity talks with Hamas. But after Hamas routed Fatah forces from Gaza in June, the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, has refused to deal with Hamas, which he accused of committing a coup. Christian Prosecuted: Refused to Photograph Homosexual ‘Commitment Ceremony’

As a Christian, Elaine Huguenin is against efforts to legitimize same-sex “marriage.”

So, when the Albuquerque photographer was asked via e-mail in September 2006 to photograph a “commitment ceremony” for two women, Huguenin declined. That was the end of the matter, she thought.

But Huguenin didn’t take into account New Mexico’s anti-discrimination laws. Instead of hiring another photographer, one of the lesbians, Vanessa Willock, filed a civil complaint against Huguenin’s company, Elane Photography.

Now, in one of the first cases of its kind in the state, a three-member tribunal of New Mexico’s Human Rights Commission is considering the complaint brought forward by New Mexico’s Human Rights Bureau, operated by the Labor Relations Division of the state’s Department of Workforce Solutions.

The tribunal will decide whether Huguenin should pay actual and punitive damages to Willock because of her decision not to take pictures of the homosexual ceremony.

US, February 21, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - At the same time that news has come out that the Toronto Catholic School board has refused to participate in pro-homosexual activities, homosexual activists are making significant inroads in US schools, as a booklet titled, "Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation and Youth," is set to be distributed to all 16,000 school districts in the country.

The 24-page booklet by the National Education Association and American Psychological Association, tells students that homosexuality is a "normal expression of human sexuality".

"What's so scary and dogmatic about this report is that it communicates that religious-based viewpoints are harmful, and even dangerous," said Candi Cushman, education analyst for Focus on the Family Action.

The booklet particularly targets the idea that homosexuality is a condition that can be changed. It instructs educators, "Schools should be careful to avoid discussions of transformational ministry in their curriculum."

Brian Raum, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, said that the talk of "inclusivity" in schools by homosexual groups is a veiled threat.

"What they're trying to do is create a fear factor here," he said. "There's nothing in the Constitution that would prohibit a teacher from presenting to a student all of the programs that are available, without endorsing or promoting any particular one."

The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, (NARTH) says that although "the aim of gay-affirmative counselling programs is humanitarian", the problem is that they do "much more" than discouraging scapegoating.

"In reality, they promote a particular worldview," present students with a set of "truth-claims that students are expected to adopt," and insist on conformity to these.

"These programs promote the value systems of a particular social group and denigrate the views of another, while at the same time, distorting science."

Don't believe me? Here is the proof.

The Inequality Myth

First, we can easily dismiss the notion that the poor are getting poorer. All the Census Bureau tells us is that the share of the pie consumed by the poor has been shrinking (to 3.4% in 2006 from 4.1% in 1970). But the "pie" has grown enormously. This year's real GDP of $14 trillion is three times that of 1970. So the absolute size of the slice received by the bottom 20% has increased to $476 billion from $181 billion. Allowing for population growth shows that the average income of people at the bottom of the income distribution has risen 36%.

They're not rich, but they're certainly not poorer. In reality, economic growth has raised incomes across the board.

The Census data originate from an annual survey of households. The data don't track individual households from year to year, but instead just take a snapshot of the households in existence in March of each year. From these annual snapshots, we try to infer what's happening to the typical household over time.

The "typical" household, however, keeps changing. Since 1970 there has been a dramatic rise in divorced, never-married and single-person households. Back in 1970, the married Ozzie and Harriet family was the norm: 71% of all U.S. households were two-parent families. Now the ratio is only 51%. In the process of this social revolution, the average household size has shrunk to 2.57 persons from 3.14 -- a drop of 18%. The meaning? Even a "stagnant" average household income implies a higher standard of living for the average household member.

That broad swath of economic advancement shows up in personal consumption. According to the Labor Department, personal consumption spending has risen by $2.5 trillion since 2000. More Americans own homes and new cars today than ever before, despite slowdowns in both industries. Laptop computers, iPhones and flat-panel TVs are fast becoming necessities rather than luxury items.

Really. I know people who spend twice as much on beer and drugs on a weekend, than they spend on gasoline. We have more toy's than ever before. How many T.V.'s do we all have? How many baseball hat's at $25.00 a pop do we have at home? I actually know people who lump their fun money in with their compulsory expeditures, and then actually cried about how they have no money left at the end of the month!!

Obama for Che Guevara?

Those Che Guevara posters recently spotted in Obama's Houston campaign offices were not hung by a young volunteer who dug the cool looking dude's awesome guitar licks for the Smashing Pumpkins, nor by an older one who thought she remembered the groovy guy with the beret "hangin" with Wavy Gravy at Woodstock.

The campaign volunteer who hung the Che poster is named Maria Isabel (second photo above) and according to the Lone Star Times, she hung similar banners from her balcony at home. Apparently she's no "low-level" volunteer either. She serves as a campaign 'precinct captain" and the co-chair of the Houston Obama Leadership Team.




Most interestingly, she is a middle-aged woman who was born in Cuba and lived there as a child during a period when Che Guevara was Cuba's chief executioner and second in command. At the time Cuba had the highest political incarceration and execution rate on earth, far surpassing that of their Soviet mentors and suitors. Pictures have surfaced (see Babalu blog.com) of Maria Isabel at several Obama campaign functions; arm in arm with Barack, in a bear hug with Michelle Obama, and apparently, very heavily involved in the Obama campaign.

Naturally, regarding the Che banner incident, the Obama campaign had nothing to fear from the mainstream media, even though conservative sites and talk radio spread the story.

Finally, there emerged a formal disavowal, of sorts. "We were disappointed to see this picture," read the terse campaign statement, "because it is both offensive to many Cuban-Americans -- and Americans of all backgrounds -- and because it does not reflect Senator Obama's views." Not a hint that the campaign honchos or candidates themselves found Guevara "offensive."

Michelle Obama's recent speech at UCLA might provide a clue on the lame tone of the Obama campaign's response. In fact, her rhetoric rings with an express socialism that calls for a more perfect individual and champions Obama as a social redeemer:


We live in isolation, and because of that isolation, we fear one another... [Barack Obama] is going to demand that you shed your cynicism, that you put down your division, that you come out of your isolation.

... Barack Obama will require you to work....that you move out of your comfort zones, that you push yourselves to be better, and that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual - uninvolved, uninformed.

By many media accounts, the Obama campaign plans inroads into the traditionally and overwhelmingly Republican voting habits of Cuban-Americans. Apparently these Cuban-Americans must -- in the words of Michelle Obama -- "move out" of their Republican "comfort zones."

It seems, however, that Obama wants Cuban-Americans to move very far out of their comfort zones, indeed. Besides proposing to meet Raul Castro without pre-conditions as President, Obama also proposes to lift the limited U.S. travel restrictions to Cuba. "Lifting the travel ban to Cuba would be a gift to the Castros," explained Cuban defector Alcibiades Hidalgo, who until 2002 served as Raul Castro's Chief of Staff.

Ernesto Guevara,commonly known as Che Guevara, was an Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary, global political figure, author, military theorist, and leader of Cuban and internationalist guerrillas. Later while in Mexico in 1956, Guevara joined Fidel Castro's revolutionary 26th of July Movement that fought a guerrilla war.

Anti-war judge rejects foster teen's bid to join military

SIMI VALLEY - Shawn Sage long dreamed of joining the military, and watching "Full Metal Jacket" last year really sold him on becoming a Marine.

But last fall, a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner dashed the foster teen's hopes of early enlistment for Marine sniper duty, plus a potential $10,000 signing bonus.

In denying the Royal High School student delayed entry into the Marine Corps, Children's Court Commissioner Marilyn Mackel reportedly told Sage and a recruiter that she didn't approve of the Iraq war, didn't trust recruiters and didn't support the military.

"The judge said she didn't support the Iraq war for any reason why we're over there," said Marine recruiter Sgt. Guillermo Medrano of the Simi Valley USMC recruiting office.

"She just said all recruiters were the same - that they `all tap dance and tell me what I want to hear.' She said she didn't want him to fight in it."

Sage, 17, said he begged for Mackel's permission.

"Foster children shouldn't be denied (an) ability to enlist in the service just because they're foster kids," he said. "Foster kids shouldn't have to go to court to gain approval to serve one's country."

Mackel, a juvenile dependency commissioner at the Children's Court in Monterey Park, declined through a clerk to speak about any court case or comments she may have made in court.

Transcripts of juvenile court hearings require a special release from a judge. Court
officials said a transcript of the Sage hearing, if released, would not be available for a week or more.
After Sage submitted a winning entry to the lawmaker's Write a Bill Challenge, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth introduced legislation last month that would allow foster teens to enlist in the service without express permission from a judge.

Instead, AB2238 would allow foster children 17 or older to sign up with the consent of a foster parent or social worker.

"Here is one impressive young man who somehow made it through the challenge of the foster system, had a clear sense of a career path and was denied that opportunity by a judge basically because of her personal bias," said Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, who will honor Sage today at a Royal High assembly.

"I find that to be a horrific abuse of her power."

It was Oct. 12 when Medrano, in crisp dress blues, appeared with Sage before the commissioner to petition for his early enlistment.

The USMC Delayed Entry Program, like those in other services, allows high school seniors to enlist in the service up to a year before starting boot camp.

Recruiters encourage students to hone their study skills, learn to eat right and become fit enough to don a uniform.

By "DEPing in," students can enlist at 17, get their high school diploma, then lock in a military job such as Force Recon - or scout snipers. They also qualify for a signing bonus.

"We just gave out the last one for recon today to another kid for $10,000," USMC Master Sgt. Edgar Carpenter of the Marine Recruiting Office in Simi Valley said Wednesday.

"The Delayed Entry Program supports everything a parent would try to do: We make them stay out of trouble; get them in physical condition; and get them indoctrinated into the Marine Corps culture."

Only Mackel - and it appears a court bailiff as well - objected to the program, despite pleas from Sage and Medrano.

She won't let this guy join the military, because SHE is against the war in Iraq?!? Typical nanny state Lib!

Horton Hears an Abortion Protest

All hell broke loose at the Hollywood premiere of "Horton Hears a Who!" today when a group of pro-lifers infiltrated the screening, then chanted anti-abortion slogans after the flick.

The theme of the movie is based on the motto: "After all, a person is a person, no matter how small." So the pro-lifers thought it was a good idea to use this theme to their advantage -- even though their complicated message was falling mostly on the ears of children.

The stars in attendance included Victoria Beckham and her three kids, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, Steve Carell and all 12 contestants from "American Idol."

After the chanting ended, the group put red tape over their mouths that said "Life" on them, and paraded around the event.

Shouts of protest were returned by some in attendance, including, "This is a kid's premiere," "How dare you," and "Do you really care that much about this?"

S.F. State GOP group wins free-speech case

(03-07) 14:46 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- To the relief of a campus Republican group, the 417,000 students at California State University's 23 institutions no longer face the possibility of discipline for failing to be civil to one another.

The change was part of a settlement approved by a federal magistrate in Oakland this week in a lawsuit by the San Francisco State College Republicans, whose members were subjected to a disciplinary hearing after some of them stomped on two flags bearing the name of Allah during an anti-terrorism rally in October 2006.

The flags represented the militant organizations Hamas and Hezbollah and had "Allah" written on them in Arabic. A student later complained that the College Republicans had engaged in "actions of incivility" and had tried to incite violence and create a hostile environment.

A panel of students, faculty and staff held a hearing in March 2007 and found no violations of university policy. But the College Republicans and two of their leaders filed suit four months later, challenging the speech and conduct codes that led to the disciplinary proceedings.

One line in the policy manual that applies to all 23 campuses says students are expected to be civil to one another. University officials said the manual didn't set disciplinary standards or authorize punishment for incivility, but U.S. Magistrate Wayne Brazil said the Republican group at San Francisco State had been investigated for precisely that reason.

"The First Amendment permits disrespectful and totally emotional discourse," Brazil said at a hearing in November, when he announced an injunction prohibiting the university from enforcing the civility standard in any disciplinary proceeding.

This week's settlement includes a systemwide ban on punishment for incivility, along with revisions in the standards for student conduct at San Francisco State.

One change narrows the definition of sexual harassment to apply only to "severe, pervasive and objectively offensive" actions that cause harm. The previous definition covered "unwelcome conduct which emphasizes another person's sexuality."

Also eliminated was a provision authorizing discipline for any behavior that is "inconsistent with S.F. State goals, principles and policies."

In addition, the university agreed to pay $100 each to the College Republicans and two of its leaders, and $41,500 in fees to their lawyers.

The settlement is one of a series of victories won by conservative legal groups against college speech codes.

Another story in which the MSM is MIA

Ordinarily, the MSM would be all over a story about a woman doing or accomplishing anything, pushing their feminist agenda on all of us. But...funny how, they seem to not be interested in sharing this story.

Could it be that it is a wonderful story of a young woman who did remarkable things under adverse conditions while serving her country? Or is it that she managed to saved the lives the five wounded and the MSM only likes to report on death? Could it be that at the very young age of 19, she managed to not only due her duty, but so exceptionally well and we all know the kinds of stories the MSM likes to report...

Stories of young women, those classifed by the MSM as "role models", running around pantyless from Hollywood club to club in drunken stoopers or "starlettes" entering rehab for the 3rd time to "better" themselves so they won't get caught drinking and driving or lovely tatoo clad "musicians" shooting up heroin, snorting coke and smoking pot out of boredom. Then they present them as stories of "successful feminists" in today's "cruel man's world, struggling with dealing with the pressure of celebrity, money and fame"...sigh...

They actually believe the constant immoral actions and behaviour, such as those exhibited by the likes of Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan and Amy Winehouse, are not only worth a story, but worth weeks and weeks of coverage and that because of their "success" they should be hailed as something special in society...its disgraceful and these "celebrities" are nothing more than spoiled children, who sadly, can't decipher was it morally right or wrong.

This young woman should be hailed as a hero and as a role model, not simply because she's a "woman"...but because she's a brave human being, who demonstrated great courage as she was willing to lay down her life for those she was serving. She obviously understands what is morally right and what is not. The fact that she volunteered to serve during a time of war is only her first example of heroism and bravery. I know I shall share her story with as many young people as I can. Her story would be well worth the weeks of coverage we see wasted on the "partiers of Hollywood!"

More Mass Graves in Iraq...where's the MSM reporting??

"Human rights groups believe there are hundreds of mass graves in Iraq of people killed during the regime of deposed president Saddam Hussein."

Typically, the MSM is MIA in their reporting on this story coming out of Iraq. If it was a story that started "American soldiers kill innocent"...you could sure bet they would be reporting it. Or if they could say "Fighting in Iraq intensifies, surge not working"....they would again be jonny on the spot reporting immediately. Likewise, if the story was about the death of any US military man or woman, it would certainly be a lead story.

However, because this story reflects the hideous and cruel conditions that the Iraqi people were forced to live with; torture and vicious murder by their ruthless tyrannt leader, Saddam...the MSM conveniently "misses" reporting this one.

The blatant bias in the MSM today should be spotlighted as often as possible, if we ever hope to return to an age of honest and factual reporting. For far too long, we the people, have allowed the media to dictate what "matters" and what does not.

The Dobson Declaration

Dr. James Dobson spoke out this morning on the Laura Ingraham show against John McCain and why he will not, and could not even possibly consider, voting for John McCain.

"I am deeply disappointed the Republican Party seems poised to select a nominee who did not support a Constitutional amendment to protect the institution of marriage, voted for embryonic stem-cell research to kill nascent human beings, opposed tax cuts that ended the marriage penalty, has little regard for freedom of speech, organized the Gang of 14 to preserve filibusters in judicial hearings, and has a legendary temper and often uses foul and obscene language."

Dr. Dobson went on to say that if McCain wins the nomination, this will be the first presidential campaign in his life that he does not participate.

Dr. Dobson's views represent the feeling of most, if not all, true Conservatives in the nation. We are fed up and are no longer willing to "compromise" our values and beliefs. But are we "angry" enough?

I don't think so...sadly, it looks as if we have not yet been pushed far enough to make us want to stand up and be heard. Instead we play the "turn the other cheek game" and we continue to accept "giving in" on the issues because we believe we have no choice. When in fact, if we actually stood by our principals, we would likely find that MORE American's agree with our ideals than not.

What we need is ONE strong candidate who can articulately express our ideals, one who can actually LEAD and not be afraid! Bobby Jindal proves that this is what we are longing for...he not only stuck by his principals he WON easily in Louisiana by doing so!

Unfortunately for us...Ann Coulter seems to me to be the only Conservative with the courage to SPEAK OUT and LOUDLY!!! Maybe we should consider making her our new "leader!"

Instead of taking heed...and doing what he can to embrace the conservatives of the party, McCain continues to move towards the left. Arnold's endorsement, in my mind, only validates the fact that McCain is nothing more than a RINO - Liberal in disguise!

You know, what thing that so many Republican's say is..."well he'll be strong on the war on terror"...yea, well let's not forget that it is McCAIN that calls for the closing of Gitmo and the transfer of the caputured terrorists to the United States. Let's also not forget that he has stood on the side of the Liberals regarding our interogation methods, he "opposes" water boarding. In addition, he spoke out against President Bush's wiretapping program and the list could go on and on...so much for being "tough" on the war on terror.

Mitt's impressive speech to his Florida supporters!

Check it out and then tell me that he should NOT be our candidate, based on conservative values and beliefs!

For those who prefer it...here is the text of his speech...personally, I thought it was exceptional and is just what we need to hear these days!

"Almost, but not quite. You guys are my heroes. You took this campaign from nowhere to the very top tier. You worked your hearts our and you made me a contender and for that, Ann and I and our family will be forever grateful. Thank you so very much.

"Now, I just got off the phone with Senator McCain, and I offered him my congratulations. I'm sure that you are excited here this evening, but a little disappointed as well, and my guess is when you left your home this evening, you put a son or a daughter to bed, and probably that's happening across the country. Moms and dads are putting kids to bed, or they already have, and they're sleeping peacefully. They're probably a bit like my grandkids, full of big dreams and plans, excited by every tomorrow.

"I remember when I was growing up, I always knew that America was the greatest nation on Earth: first nation on the Moon, our cars and movies and technology were the envy of the entire world, and freedom and opportunity was just like the air, it was everywhere I went. I believed there was nothing I couldn't do, and I knew there was nothing that America couldn't do because we led the world.

"Now, America's leadership didn't come without cost. It was won by the Greatest Generation in the history of the world. They defeated fascism, and they built the world's strongest economy. My Mom and Dad are gone as maybe yours are as well. What they and their generation left us is the greatest nation in the history of the entire planet.

"And now it's our turn. What kind of nation will we leave our children and our grandchildren? We can leave future generations a nation that's even greater than that which we inherited, but to do that, we're going to have to overcome a new generation of challenges.

That we'll leave them a stronger America, and you can tell them to dream big because for the children of America, every dream will be possible."

Current Choice for President

Obviously, it's been a while since we have updated or posted anything new...in that time a great deal has taken place, personally, as well as in the political world.

I'll start with the political world; several primaries have taken place and unfortunately, Duncan Hunter, stellar candidate that he was, was not able to gather much momentum and has "officially" dropped out of the race. We are very sad to see him go, as he certainly had a great deal of potential and our nation would have been blessed to have him as President. He has a great deal of work to continue and much more legislation to fight for, before retiring his congressional seat, hopefully, handing it over to his son Duncan D. Hunter.

In the meantime, we still have primary elections before us...this is no time to just give in and allow the media to "pick" our final candidate. As such, we have decided after a great deal of deliberation and discussion to stand up and support loudly...Mitt Romney

As for my personal world...I have been to Chicago and back again and I have to say tha I have a great deal of promise for a wonderful future with a wonderful man! Thanks be to God...as I have said for years...all good things come in His time! =)
